Ronald Keith Steele

Ronald Keith Steele, 61, of Jefferson City, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019, at his home. He was born on November 10, 1957, in Council Bluffs, Iowa; a son of Robert and Wilma (Hagler) Steele. Ron was a 1976 graduate of Jefferson City High School. For most of his career he worked as a heavy equipment operator for various businesses in the area. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring antique cars, fishing, and riding his Harley. He is survived by his sons: Chris Steele (Lauren) of Jefferson City and Nick Veltrop of Jefferson City; siblings: Jerry Steele (Elaine) of Bonnets Mill, Debra Pinkley (Robert) of Clever, and Tammy Meyer of Jefferson City; grandchildren: Sam and Haylie Steele and Evie and Ellie Veltrop. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Wilma Steele of Taos; brother: Charles Steele and nephew: Aaron Meyer. Family and Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Service will immediately follow from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m with Rev. Jim Steele officiating. Burial will be Friday, May 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at Grandview Cemetery, 104 US-136, Albany, Missouri. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Family of Chris Steele.
