Mable Curry, 100, of Maryville, Illinois, formerly of Tuscumbia, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Manor Court of Maryville, Illinois. She was born September 28, 1918, in Granite City, Illinois the daughter of the late Oliver and Bertha (Abbott) Ramsey. On November 9, 1935, in Tuscumbia, Missouri she was united in marriage to Harold Curry who preceded her in death on March 22, 1995. Survivors include: son, Finnis Curry (Linda) of Collinsville, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; three foster grandchildren; six foster great-grandchildren and 13 foster great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are: sons, Wayne and Oliver Curry, and infant daughter, Katherine Joyce Curry; grandson, Richard Curry; granddaughter, Amanda Curry; sister, Juanita Flaugher; foster son, Willian Kessler, and foster great-granddaughter, Amanda (Kessler) Stokes. Mable lived and farmed in the Tuscumbia area 16 years prior to moving to Illinois. She was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church of Tuscumbia, Mo. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 9, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo. Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo. with Rev. Mark Kessler officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Tuscumbia, Mo. Memorials in her name are suggested to Mt. Zion Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
