Dennis L. Farley

Mr. Dennis L. Farley, age 87, of Holts Summit, Mo., passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019, peacefully at his home. He was born December 23, 1931, in Shenandoah, Iowa., a son of the late Lewis and Josephine Farley. He was married on May 20, 1965, to Geneva L. Bailey who preceded him in death on September 9, 2011. Dennis served his country in the United States Navy. He then had a long career as an Independent Insurance Agent, representing many different companies. Survivors include: one son: Michael Farley of Holts Summit; two daughters: Donna Hertel of Mercer, Wis. and Janet Wolfe of Jefferson City, Mo.; six grandchildren: Jason Wolfe, Kim Bortz, Christy Falter, Kevin Hertel, Kelly Joustra, and Krystal Lawson; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. A private family memorial services will be conducted at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Lung Assn.
