Kathryn Patricia Rost, 56, of Morrison, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri. She was born on February 6, 1962 in Middletown, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Frederick Smith and Daina (Smith) Faust. Kathy was a founding co-owner of Show-Me-Caviar. She was previously employed by the United States Postal Service and worked in Rhineland, Portland, and Morrison locations. She was a member of the Morrison Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary. She was the Modern Woodmen of America camp and club leader for the Morrison area. She was the activity coordinator for the Morrison Community Center. Kathy enjoyed playing bingo and fishing, but most of all she cherished the time spent with family, especially the grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter: Jacqueline Omondi-Kajja (Calvin) of Kansas City; sons: Ricky Rost of St. Joseph and Allen Rost (Sara) of Jefferson City; mother: Daina Faust (Don) of Jacksonville, Florida; sister: Ginny Stephan (Scott) of St. Peters; and grandchildren: Adriana, Mason, Weston, Camilla and Quentin. Kathy was preceded in death by her brothers and a sister: Don Rowley, Joe Rowley and Sharon May. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the Morrison Community Center in Morrison, Missouri, with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Morrison Community Center.
