Russell C. Eiken

Russell (Rusty) C Eiken, 51, passed away peacefully at his home in Cape Coral, Fla., on Saturday, June 30, 2018. He was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on August 10, 1966, to Ralph and the late Joanne (Rackers) Eiken. Rusty attended Jefferson City High School. Rusty worked as a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. He was an avid fisherman and loved having people over for fish frys. He also enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and hunting. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his companion, Evelyn Stine-Shelak, who still resides in Cape Coral, Fla.; two daughters, Kim McHugh (Ben) of Savannah, Ga. and Robin Eiken of Jefferson City, Mo.; four siblings, Marvin Eiken (Jane) of California, Mo., Janet Samson of Lohman, Mo., Diane Hintz (Doug) of Seattle, Wash., and Glen Eiken (Debbie) of Holts Summit, Mo.; five grandchildren, Dylan, Ashton, Scarlett, Jace, and Jacob; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Eiken and his brother-in-law, Richard Samson. A celebration of life service will be held from 12-2 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Westridge Event Center, 219 Murphy Ford Rd., Centertown. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to his children.
