Dolores Ann Forck, 82, of Taos, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018, at Westphalia Hills. She was born February 25, 1935, in Westphalia, the daughter of the late Henry and Regina (Borgmeyer) Berhorst. She was united in marriage on June 27, 1959, in Westphalia to James Joseph Forck, who preceded her in death on October 14, 2014. She graduated from Fatima High School in 1953. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Dolores owned and operated a home daycare for 45 years, touching the lives of many children. Dolores stayed active attending her children and grandchildren's many activities. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning. She loved camping, playing cards and keeping her cookie jar full for anyone who stopped to see her. Survivors include nine children, Joseph (Elaine) Forck; Linda (Dale) Heckman; Kathy (Roger) Shikles; Carol (Sam) Struttmann; John (Laurie) Forck; Stan (Jackie) Forck; Ken (Jana) Forck; Christy (Jason) Buschjost, all of Taos; Terri (Kent) Engelbrecht, Wardsville; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild due in August; one brother, Walter (Joan) Berhorst, Westphalia; and a sister, Helen Cassmeyer, Fulton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son, Joseph Forck; twin granddaughters, Grace and Faith Engelbrecht; a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Dorothy Berhorst; and a brother-in-law, Al Cassmeyer. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Monday, February 26, 2018, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be Tuesday 9-10 a.m. at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik and Rev. David J. Maher concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 7319 Rt. M, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
