Sandra Lee Talken

Sandra "Sandy" Lee Talken, 57, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 14, 1960, in Jefferson City, Missouri; a daughter of Kenneth R. Hackman and Belva L. Gibler. She was married on May 8, 1982, to Andrew Talken at Immaculate Conception Church in Jefferson City. Sandy graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1978. She worked for the State of Missouri, Department of Social Services. Sandy loved traveling with family and friends, camping and motorcycle riding. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and Friends of the Jefferson City Animal Shelter. She is survived by her husband: Andrew Talken of Jefferson City; two daughters: Amber (Scott) Kreutz of Jefferson City, Whitney (Kevin) Pleus of Jefferson City; four grandchildren: William Kreutz, Samuel Kreutz, Denver Pleus and future baby Pleus; her father: Kenneth Hackman of Jefferson City; one sister: Robin (Kenny) Payne of Jefferson City, two brothers: Steve (Lisa) Hackman of Rocky Mount, Missouri, Randy Hackman of Jefferson City. Sandra is preceded in death by her mother Belva Hackman and her father and mother-in-law: William and Martha Talken. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Prayer Service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Don Antweiler officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
