Dixie Gay (Branson) Puckett

Dixie Gay (Branson) Puckett, age 75, of Linn, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Westphalia Hills. Dixie was born November 5, 1941, in Linn, a daughter to the late Robert E and Flora May (Tyree) Branson. Dixie went to school in Linn and later attended East Central Community College in Union. On March 21, 1959, she was united in marriage to James Lee Puckett in Mountain Home, Ark. He survives of the home. Dixie was a homemaker and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. Dixie loved working in her flower gardens, traveling, cooking and entertaining friends and family. In addition to her husband of 58 years, Dixie is survived by: one brother, Verlyn Branson of Union; one sister, Velda Party of Linn; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Gary Carey officiating. Interment will follow in the Solid Rock Cemetery in Judge. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Holts Summit.
