Kimberly Kay Boessen

Kimberly Kay Boessen, 42, of central Missouri, gained her angel wings on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. She was born June 30, 1975, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Harold Lee Loethen Jr. and Karen Sue Viessman. Kimberly was a 1993 graduate of Jefferson City High School. On September 23, 2000, Kimberly was united in marriage in St. Thomas, Missouri, to Thomas P. Boessen, who survives in St. Thomas, Missouri. Kimberly worked for the State of Missouri for many years, and was most recently with the Office of Administration. She previously worked at the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT), and the Missouri Gaming Commission. Kimberly was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, and had served on the St. Thomas Parish Council, and the St. Thomas City Council. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and was a softball mom and past coach of her children's softball teams. She was also on a bowling team and the Diamond Chicks softball team. Kimberly was a fan of Elvis Presley and Miller Lite. Most of all, Kimberly loved her family and friends, especially her three daughters: Brooke, Grace and Belle. Kimberly is also survived by three daughters: Brooke, Grace, and Belle, all of the home; her father: Harold Lee Loethen Jr. of Meta; her brother: Keith Loethen (wife Teresa) of Gravois Mills; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, a great-niece, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother: Karen Sue Viessman in 2007. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 19, 2017, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in St. Thomas, with a Prayer Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2017, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in St. Thomas with Fr. Jeremy A. Secrist officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Cecilia Parish Cemetery in Meta. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kimberly Boessen Children's Memorial Fund.
