Betty Smith-Vaughan-Hodge

Betty Smith-Vaughan-Hodge, 65, of Lebanon, formerly of Eldon, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lebanon, Missouri. She was born on April 20, 1952 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Henry David and Julia Armelda (Porter) Smith, who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on October 6, 1989 to Tommy Hodge, they spent a loving 21 years together. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2000. She was a devoted employee of Cheesebrough Ponds, Inc. of Jefferson City for over 20 years working in various departments. She enjoyed the lifelong friendships she made with her co-workers, including her friend of over 40 years: Cathy L. Feely of Jefferson City. She enjoyed spending time with her family and the peace that being outside in nature brings. Most of all she loved raising her grandson: Casey Rollin Vaughan. The memories made will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved Betty. She is survived by one son: Richard Alan (Christina) Vaughan of Phillipsburg, Missouri; one daughter: Michelle Renee Vaughan; two sisters: Dorothy Mae Smith-Robb and Laura Alice Smith; two brothers: Wayne Edward Smith and Harold Leslie Smith; one grandson: Casey Rollin Vaughan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one son: Michael Lloyd Vaughan, and two brothers: Glen David Smith and John Lorraine Smith. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Millard-Rekus Family Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Millard-Rekus Family Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dr. Bill Foglesong officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Garden Cemetery in Eugene.
