Jeremy P. Jones, age 38 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017. Jeremy was born on December 16, 1978, in Jefferson City, Mo., a son of James Phillip Jones and Pamela Sue Welch. He was married on May 12, 2007, in Jefferson City, Mo. to Sarah Jane Schnieders. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Jeremy was a 1997 graduate of Jefferson City High School. In 2002, he received his bachelor's degree in Business - Finance from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Following graduation, Jeremy was a sales rep for ADP in St Louis. He and Sarah then moved back to Jefferson City to be close to their families. Jeremy worked for Riley Toyota for the past 12 years. As the sales manager, he was an integral part of the dealership's success, including numerous Toyota Sales Awards. His strong work ethic, loyalty and sense of humor allowed him to build many trusted friendships with the Riley employees and customers. His role afforded further community involvement, including Leadership Jefferson City and the American Heart Association. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and the Knights of Columbus, Dan C. Coppin Assembly. He was passionate about being a mentor through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program. Jeremy enjoyed being a member at the Jefferson City Country Club. Jeremy cherished any time spent with his family and friends. He loved barbequing with family, cheering on the Cardinals, tailgating at Mizzou games, and playing a round of golf with his buddies. He could talk with anyone and didn't know a stranger. Jeremy's three children were the absolute joy of his life - he loved being a Dad above anything else. Survivors include: his wife, Sarah Jones; his beloved children, Jane, Claire, and Graham Jones, all of the home; his mother, Pam Bradley (husband Gary) of Kansas City, Mo.; his father, Phil Jones of Jefferson City, Mo.; his sister, Crista Beckhaus (husband Kurt) of Sydney, Australia; his brother, Jared Jones (wife Ashley) of Warrensburg, Mo.; his step-sister, Angela Plattner (husband Adam) of Malta Bend, Mo.; his step-brother, Doug Bradley (wife Anne) of Leawood, Kan.; his maternal grandmother, Betty Welch of Jefferson City, Mo.; his paternal grandparents, Ed and Carol Drewel of Jefferson City, Mo.; mother-in-law, Kathy Riley (husband Marc Miller) of Jefferson City, Mo.; father-in-law, Gary Schnieders (wife Cyndy) of Jefferson City, Mo.; brothers-in-law, Jay Schnieders (wife Jennifer) of Jefferson City, Mo. and Bill Chapman (fiance Natalie) of St. Louis, Mo.; sister-in-law, Sally Henderson (husband Stephen) of St. Louis, Mo.; several nieces and nephews, Elizabeth and Thomas Beckhaus, Jobey and Corbin Jones, Archer, Dawson, and Tucker Schnieders, Ava and Jay Plattner, Greta and Ingrid Bradley; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold Welch. Visitation will be held at the Cathedral of St. Joseph from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017, with a prayer service to be conducted at 3:15 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2017, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Reverend Monsignor Robert Kurwicki officiating. Graveside services and entombment will follow at the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery.
