Alfred "Wayne" Andrews, 68, of Holts Summit, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Adams Street Place in Jefferson City. He was born July 24, 1948, in Paris, Ark., a son of the late Alfred and Gladys Cleo (Brown) Andrews Jr. On April 29, 2007, Wayne was united in marriage in Jefferson City, to Shari Lee Jackson, who survives at their home. Wayne was a machinist and worked in construction for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. Wayne enjoyed building and riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and pets. Wayne was very close to nature and loved the outdoors. His past hobbies had also included Native American bead and leather work. Along with his wife Shari, Wayne is also survived by a daughter, Ashley Drake (husband Michael) of California, Mo.; three sisters, Gladys Warren (husband Bobby) of Clarksville, Ark., Betty Jo Andrews of Clarksville, Ark. and Mary Turner (husband Raymond) of Twanda, Kan.; four grandchildren, Laila Gilpin, Shaun Gilpin, Isabella Drake of California, Mo. and Catherine Andrews of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Schoonover; his father, Alfred Andrews; two brothers, David Paul Andrews and Jimmy Ray Andrews; and one sister, Brenda Doyle. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016, at the New Bloomfield Christian Church in New Bloomfield. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Family of Wayne Andrews.
