Erma Elizabeth Borch, 83, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born on March 11, 1933, in Lake Ozark, Missouri, the daughter of the late Hoyle Mancel and Fern Opal Engle Atteberry. She was married in 1955, to William Lynn Borch who preceded her in death in 2008. Mrs. Borch was a graduate of School of the Osage High School, received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Southwest Missouri State University, and a Master of Science in Education degree from Drury College. An elementary and middle school teacher for 34 years, she greatly enjoyed traveling and reading in her retirement. She was a member of the National Education Association and very active in the School of the Osage Alumni Association. Survivors include one daughter, Judith Anne Willis, Jefferson City; one granddaughter, Lily Miranda Willis; and one sister, Pat Atteberry, Lake Ozark, Missouri. She was preceded in death by one brother, John Atteberry; and three sisters, Jude Bassett, Jo Rice, and Barbara Knoch. Private family services will be held at a later date.
