Clyde Russell Baquet

Clyde Russell Baquet, 86, of Trinidad, Colo., died Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at his ranch. He was born February 3, 1930, in Morgan County, Mo., to Coy and Edna Kennedy Baquet. Russell attended Olean High School and graduated from Eldon High School. He served in the Untied States Army, participating in testing of nuclear devices at the Nevada Proving Grounds. He was employed as the superintendent of subcontractors hired by large companies, building many well know high rise buildings in San Diego and Dallas. In 1952 Russell married Virginia Vernon, the mother of Jimmy Baquet and Tanya Baquet Anderson. Virginia died in 1988. He is also survived by: his current wife, Diane, the mother of Bryan and Marilynn. Other survivors include: sisters, Wanda Jane Baquet (RG) Thompson of Jefferson City, Mo. and Elizabeth (Gene) Isaak of Tucson, Ariz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Cicero Baquet and Calvin Dwight Baquet, and sister, Evelyn Baquet Vernon. Funeral services were held May 24, 206, in Trinidad, Colo. Military honors conducted by Ft. Carson Honor Guard.
