Forrest Glenn Hale, 82, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away the evening of Saturday, May 21, 2016, at his home. He was born January 1, 1934, in Henley Mo., the son of Os and Georgia M. (McGhee) Hale, whom both have preceded him in death. He attended Eugene High School. He served in the Army from May 2, 1956, to May 1958, during the Korean War. He was united in marriage October 24, 1959, in Honey Creek to Marilyn Probst, who preceded him in death. Glenn went to work as a brakeman for the Missouri Pacific Railroad on April 15, 1967, and was promoted to conductor in 1969. After the merger of the MoPac and the Union Pacific he worked as both conductor for the U.P. and Amtrak working between Jefferson City and Kansas City. He retired August 7, 1997. Glenn was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Jefferson City, Mo. He was also a member of the Order of Eagles 2693 and an associate member of the American Legion, Jefferson City, Mo. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He will be sadly missed. Survivors include: son, Patrick (Sandy) Hale, Jefferson City, Mo.; daughter, Lisa Chattin, Jefferson City, Mo.; sister, Lola Hoskins, Henley, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Betty Young and Elsie Hale; and brother-in-law, George Grant. In addition to his parents and wife, Glenn was preceded in death by: three brothers, Claude, Earl and Bud Hale; sister, Letha Grant; and two infant brothers. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016, from 911 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Jefferson City, Mo. Funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Scott Musselman officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Hill Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hickory Hill Cemetery, c/o Weber Funeral Home, 13415 Rt. C, Russellville, Mo. 65074.
