Edward J Radil Sr.

Edward J. Radil Sr., 68, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born October 29, 1947, in St. Louis, son of the late Edward J. and Beatrice Marie (Tinker) Radil Sr. Ed was a graduate of Boston University with a BA in History. He retired from the United States Army National Guard in 2005 after serving his country for 32 years. Ed started his career serving in the United States Navy; he served in Vietnam and in Iraq and received the Bronze Star. Ed was always honored and proud to serve and defend his country. Ed is survived by two sons: Shawn E. Radil (Jennifer) of Nashua, N.H. and Edward J. Radil Jr. of Billerica, Mass.; one sister: Judy Martin of Olathe, Kan.; two grandchildren: Tyler Radil and Cece Radil. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
