Stanley John Lueckenotte

Stanley John Lueckenotte, 61, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born September 17, 1954, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Isidore John and Mary Adeline (Wolken) Lueckenotte. Stanley had actively attended St. Martin Catholic Church for many years. He also attended a special needs Sunday School class with friends at First Baptist Church in Jefferson City. Stanley attended State Training School #3 in the old Moreau Heights School until he was 17 years old. He then worked for Capitol Projects (Sheltered Workshop) from May 8, 1972 to March 4, 2016. Stanley had also been active in groups such as People First-Jefferson City, as well as aspects of Special Olympics programs - tee ball, basketball, and field and track. He also attended Friday Night Rec with the Jefferson City Park and Recreation. His most favorite activity was bowling. He was also a past member of the Boy Scouts Troop 213. Survivors include seven siblings, Bernard Lueckenotte, Jefferson City; Fred (Maxine) Lueckenotte, Manchester; Joe (Susie) Lueckenotte, Jefferson City; Joan (Bill) Whittle, Centertown; Bill (Diana) Lueckenotte, California; Betty Farris (Dale Nivens), Jefferson City; Agnes (Ken) Brenneke, Wentzville; 14 nieces and nephews; 23 great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great- nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Karen Lueckenotte; a brother, John Lueckenotte; and a great-nephew. Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, at St. Martin Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martins with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt and the Rev. Daniel I.J. Lueckenotte concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Martin Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Cole County Residential Services, 1908 Boggs Creek Rd., Jefferson City, MO 65101; or to Capitol Projects, Inc., 2001 E McCarty St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.
