Michael L. Strader

Michael L. Strader, age 35 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, July 22, 2016, at his home. Michael was born August 20, 1980 in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Dennis L. and Patricia L. Brickey Strader. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Michael was a 1999 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Michael enjoyed fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks, playing cards and Xbox with his friends. He loved animals especially the family Beagle, Oscar. Survivors include: his parents, Dennis and Pat Strader; one brother, Shawn P. Strader of Edwards, Colo.; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Strader of Jefferson City, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Luther and Barcie Brickey, and his paternal grandfather, Homer Carl Strader. A private family service will be conducted with entombment in the Mausoleum of Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Central Missouri Honor Flight or the Callaway Hills Animal Shelter.
