Mary Frances Deramus

Mary Frances Deramus, age 90, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was born on October 11,1923, in Flat River, Missouri, the daughter of Mary Jane and John Bivins. She was married on July 31, 1940, to Murrill Kennon and they lived in the Lead Belt area until his death on December 11, 1978. She later married Lloyd Deramus on May 3, 1986, and lived in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, for a number of years before moving to the Jefferson City area. After Lloyd's death in 1999, Mary remained in Jefferson City to be near her children. She is survived by her sister, Thelma Kolaks of St. Louis; her son, Larry Kennon (Joann) of Millersburg, Missouri; her daughter, Frances Shipman (Jerry) of Jefferson City, Missouri; and her step-daughter, Carol Wenc (Bob) of Hancock, Michigan. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Andahl; her son, Ron Kennon; and her grandson, Travis Kennon. Mary was a sweet, gentle spirit who returned a precious unconditional love to her family and friends. She will be sadly missed. Graveside service was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Park Hills, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, P.O.
