Henry Bowles Bishop

Henry Bowles Bishop, 88, of Lebanon, Mo., passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on August 20, 1924, to the late Walter and Ella Kinsey Bishop in High Gate, Mo. Henry was the manager of food services with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Survivors include two daughters, Sherrie (Rodney) Heaper of Sweet Springs, Mo., and Cindy Lee and her companion Tony Gier of Lake Ozark, Mo.; his life long companion, Chloe McKee of Lebanon; one brother, Bob Bishop of St. James, Mo.; one sister, Pat Simmons McClain of Colo.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Henry Jr.; one brother, Warren Bishop; two sisters, Wilma Varner and Mildred Bishop; and one grandson, Brandon Heaper. Visitation will be at Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 10 a.m., with the funeral service following at Shadel's Colonial Chapel. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. at High Gate Cemetery in Maries County. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Coast Guard. Memorials have been suggested to High Gate Cemetery and donations can be left at Shadel's Colonial Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
