Mary Suzanne Wakeman

Mary Suzanne "Suzie" Wakeman, 66, of Kansas City (North), passed away Monday, May 13, 2013. Suzie was born June 18, 1946, to Paul and Mary Lorene (Catron) Potts of Hamilton, Missouri. Suzie graduated from Penney High School in Hamilton and attended Northwest Missouri State University where she met her husband of 46 years. Suzie retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections in Jefferson City in 2008. Survivors include her husband, Jim of the home; her son, Jeremy and his wife Stephanie; grandchildren: Samantha Kristine and Joshua Wakeman, all of Kansas City, Mo.; and her brother, Leonard Potts of Tracy, Calif. Suzie was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Bernard Potts, Patricia Potts-Dupy, and John Potts who passed away within hours of her. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church; 5409 NW 72nd Street; Kansas City, MO. 816-741-3150.
