Barbara J. Angell

Barbara J. Screen Lee Angell, 81, of Springfield, Va., died on Saturday, May 4, 2013, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Mount Kisco, N.Y., on January 4, 1932, to Wilbur Norris and Edna Mehigan Norris, both of whom preceded her in death. Barbara graduated from Balboa High School in the Panama Canal Zone in 1950, and moved to Northern Virginia in 1953. She was a longtime member of the Springfield Golf and Country Club, and was an avid golfer, bowler, and bridge player. She is survived by her children: Christine Lepper, Jefferson City; Chuck Screen (Patty), Springfield, Va.; Jennifer Ours (Steve), Alexandria, Va.; Linda Lee (Joe Augello), Greenville, S.C.; Donald R. Screen Jr. (Robin), Allen, Texas; Suzanne Caesar (Craig), Dallas, Texas; J. Richard Lee Jr. (Leah), Cary, N.C.; Stephanie Murphy (Chris), Annandale, Va.; Sara Cilinski (Mike), Mount Bethel, Pa.; John Screen (Dianna), Foxboro, Mass.; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy. Barbara is also survived by her brothers, Theodore "Ted" Norris (Patsy), Ocala, Fla., and Phillip Norris (Shirley), Springfield, Va. Her sister, Carolyn Norris Cobb, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Charles E. Prutsman, Donald R. Screen, J. Richard Lee, and H.T. "Max" Angell. A memorial service will be held in Burke, Va., on Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at the Church of the Nativity. The family suggests that donations be made to Greenspring Hospice Fund or Alzheimer's Association.
