Mrs. Margriete K. "Mimi" Cox Luadzers, age 94 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mimi was born February 4, 1919, in Stoddard County, Mo., the daughter of Henry and Icie Touchstone Baker. She grew up in southeast Missouri and was later married in 1937 to Paul Cox who preceded her in death. On May 7, 1975 in Jefferson City, Mo., she married Nelson Luadzers, who preceded her in death on March 30, 1992. A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1970, Mimi was employed with Saffee's for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dexter, Mo. and a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mimi enjoyed crocheting and making floral arrangements and in her earlier years, she loved fishing and playing ball with her grandchildren. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. Survivors include: one daughter, Connie Bean and her husband Willard of Jefferson City, Mo.; one son, Ron Cox Sr. of Branson, Mo. and his wife Mary Ann of Dexter, Mo.; two sisters, Anna Marie Martin of St. Peters, Mo. and Melba Snider of Livonia, Mich.; four grandchildren, Doug Bean and his wife Vera of Arlington Heights, Ill., Terri Riley and her husband Carey of Jefferson City, Mo., Ron Cox Jr. and his wife Patti of Branson, Mo. and Kristi Strong of Dexter, Mo.; and nine great- grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Oren Baker, Joe Baker, and H.L. "Dick" Baker; and one sister, Marian Deardorff. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013 in the Freeman Chapel. Graveside services and interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
