Jamie L. Higgins

Mr. Jamie L. Higgins, age 40 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, May 31, 2013, at his home after a lengthy illness. Jamie was born January 7, 1973, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Rick L. and Terina Dietzel Higgins. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Jamie graduated from Jefferson City High School. He had been employed with, Madison's, Bones Restaurant, Wal-Mart, and Old Navy. He had been the co-owner of the Smoke Shack. Jamie loved horses, reading, computer games, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends. Survivors include: his mother and step-father, Terina and Ron Holcombe of Jefferson City, Mo.; his father and step-mother, Rick and Lori Higgins of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters, Amanda Moore of Nevada, Mo. and Bailey Higgins of Jefferson City, Mo.; two brothers, Chris Higgins and his wife Linda of Mountain View, Mo. and William Higgins of Rolla, Mo. A private celebration of life will be conducted at a later time. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Assn.
