Jeanette (Heislen) Neuner, age 91, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, peacefully at Oak Tree Villas. Beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and great-aunt, she was born January 25, 1922, the youngest of four daughters to Christine (Rackers) and Peter Heislen. She lived her entire life in Jefferson City and was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church, where she was married September 17, 1945, to her best friend, Ted Neuner, and together they had six children. She was a long-time member of the Immaculata Club-Loretto Chapter, St. Ann's Sodality, Daughters of Isabella and St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered for Birthright and Missouri River Home Health Care and Hospice. She was known among family and friends for her wonderful cooking and her welcoming spirit. Her favorite times were spent with family gathered around her dining room table for meals or canasta games. She is survived by her sister, Angeline (Terence) Lock; sister-in-law, Marge (Bill) Bose; children, Janice Neuner of Sumter, S.C.; Richard (Laura Kinkead) Neuner of Minneapolis; Barbara (Bob) Paynter of Cleveland; Carol (Joe) Metz of Cincinnati; Jim (Gina) Neuner and Laura (Pat) Forbis of Jefferson City; 14 grandchildren: Michael, Catherine and Ben Neuner; Ted (Lisa), Jacob (Stephanie), Gabriel and Sam Paynter; Elizabeth, Anni and Pete (Becca) Metz; Jacquelyn, Madelyn and Kassidy Neuner; and James Forbis; and four great-grandchildren (with another to be born soon); as well as many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
