Frederick K. Rohslan Jr., age 80, of Centertown, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born April 25, 1932, in Hawthorne, California a son of Frederick K. Sr., and Helen Chandler Rohslan. On June 14, 1958, at Sacred Heart Church in Turlock, California, Fred was united in marriage to Theresa M. "Terry" Scrivner who survives at their home. He was an Army veteran, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Fred worked for nine years at the California Youth Authority before moving his family to Cole County, Missouri to be near his wife's family. Fred and Terry owned and operated Suncrest Mobile Homes, specializing in sales and service. He later retired from the Missouri Department of Health. He established the Suncrest Artesians recreational teenage softball team in Jefferson City. Fred enjoyed a good laugh, good friends and most of all his family. In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by five children and their spouses, Paul and Carol Rosslan of Centertown and their children, Scott, Lee Beth and Zachary Rosslan, and Stephen and Calena Salazar, Linda Nichols of Jefferson City and her daughter Lauren Nichols; Fred and Sarah Rosslan of Centertown and their children, Natalie, Mitchell and Lindsey Rosslan, Jerry and Debbie Rosslan of Wardsville and their children, Kelcee, Lizzie and Luke Rosslan and Cindy and Paul Schultz of Topton, Pennsylvania and their children, BriAnna Schultz, Paul Jr., and Matt Schultz; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hartman of New Bloomfield and her four sons and four daughters; two nieces; two nephews along with other relatives and friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Betty Rohslan and a sister, Nina Rohslan. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
