Angeline Anna Berhorst, 88, of Westphalia, died Sunday, January 06, 2013, at Westphalia Hills. She was born on March 1, 1924, in Taos, Missouri, the daughter of the late Frank John and Katherine Theresa (Taube) Verslues. She was united in marriage on October 10, 1945, in Taos, to Alfred Francis Berhorst who preceded her in death on February 14, 2001. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, St. Ann's Sodality, St. Ann's Sewing Circle, and Western Catholic Union. Angeline enjoyed gardening, sewing, and refinishing furniture. Survivors include: ten children, Emily (Chris) Luebbering, St. Thomas; Lillian (Paul) Lackman, St. Thomas; Lucy (Steve) Suthoff, St. Thomas; Pat (Mike) Kaiser, St. Thomas; Mary Jane Lueckenotte, Jefferson City; Rhonda (Bob) Czarnecki, Jefferson City; Doris (Keith) Neier, Rich Fountain; Stephen (Nancy) Berhorst, Westphalia; Ralph (Anne) Berhorst, Freeburg; Janice (James) Iacovino, Naples, Fl; a daughter-in-law, Dina Krieg, Westphalia; 38 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; five siblings, James (Kay) Verslues, Taos; Herbert (Theresa) Verslues, Taos; Stanley (Laurine) Verslues, Taos; Roger Verslues, Jefferson City; Joan (Tom) Hoerschgen, Strafford, Mo; two sisters-in-law, Anna Berhorst, Westphalia; Ruthie Verslues, Loose Creek; and a brother-in-law, Bernard Pleus, Jefferson City. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Glenn and Tom Berhorst, two granddaughters, Mary and Bethany Neier; one grandson, David Suthoff; two great-grandchildren, Nolan Koenigsfeld and Callie Berhorst; four brothers, Richard, Fred, Albert, and Leon Verslues; and one sister, Mary Pleus. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with the Rev. Mark S. Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Westphalia. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic School, P.O.
