Jo Ann Matlock

Jo Ann Matlock, 72, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012, at her home in Lenox, Missouri, surrounded by her family. She was born October 3, 1940, in Licking, Missouri, daughter of Howard Lee and Fern (Deese) Quick. Jo married Ronald R. Matlock on December 21, 1957. Together they had three children, Cindy, Mike and Ginger. When her children were young, Jo worked for the March of Dimes for a period of time and also as a waitress, but Jo dedicated most of her life to loving and raising her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Jo is survived by her husband, Ron of the home; her daughter, Cindy Ann (Matlock) Heseman of Linn, Missouri; her son, Mike R. Matlock of Lenox, Missouri; her daughter, Ginger (Matlock) Schroer and son-in-law Gene Schroer of Jefferson City, Missouri; two sisters, Daisy Ellen (Quick) Stewart of Rio Linda, California and Marie (Quick) Routh and son-in-law, Don Routh of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Betty (Floyd) Quick of Licking; four grandchildren, Kathleen Elizabeth Hinton, Jake Owen Hinton, Cierra Jo Schroer; and Abby Mae Schroer; seven great-grandchildren, Mason, Demont, Isabelle, Wayne, Micah, Tripp and Piper; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Peggy Ruth Quick; brother, Keith Quick; son-in-law, Willard Heseman; nephews, Jeffrey Kruger and Chad Dewayne Quick. Service was held Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Fox Chapel, with Mr. Don Routh officiating. Interment was in Mount Hermon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fox Funeral Home in Licking, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Hermnn Cemetery Fund or Boone Creek Cemetery fund.
