Anita K. Peace

Anita K. Heller Peace, age 49 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at the University Hospital, Columbia, Mo. Anita was born September 30, 1963, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Gerald T. and Alice Sue Renn Heller. A life-long resident of the Central Missouri area, Anita attended Jefferson City Public Schools. She was employed as a waitress at several Jefferson City restaurants, most recently at Johnny's Pizza and Steakhouse. Anita enjoyed fishing, crafts, and was an avid bingo player. Survivors include: her mother, Alice Sue Kelley of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Monica Belk and her husband Duane of Centertown, Mo.; one uncle, Robert Renn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and her maternal step-grandmother, Minnie Vaught of Jefferson City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, in the Freeman Chapel. Interment will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Friends of the Jefferson City Animal Shelter or the American Cancer Society.
