Diane Louise Borgmeyer

Diane Louise Borgmeyer, 72, of Loose Creek, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. She was born October 22, 1940, in Loose Creek, the daughter of the late Conrad Backes and Anna Bescheinen Backes Schaefer and Herbert Schaefer. On October 29, 1960, she was united in marriage in Loose Creek to Leonard Borgmeyer, who survives at the home. Diane and her husband owned and operated Loose Creek Oil. She had also worked for the State of Missouri's Employment Security. Diane attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and was a 1958 graduate of Fatima High School. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Ann's Adult Choir and the Good Time Red Hatters. Diane enjoyed fishing at Bennett Springs, playing Canasta, traveling, and painting ceramics. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Along with her husband, she is survived by three children: Alan Borgmeyer (wife Rhonda), Mark Borgmeyer (wife Pam), and John Borgmeyer (wife Kim), all of Loose Creek; one sister: Catherine Backes Muenks of Loose Creek, 10 grandchildren: godchild, Caleb Borgmeyer (wife Stephanie), Jesse Borgmeyer (wife Pat), Kimberly Hentges (husband Levi), Katlyn Borgmeyer (friend Kevin), Cody Borgmeyer, Scotty Borgmeyer, Joseph Borgmeyer, Matthew Borgmeyer, Peter Borgmeyer, and Grace Borgmeyer; and four great-grandchildren: Madison, Lilly, Garret, and Connor. She was preceded in death by her father: Conrad Backes; her mother: Anna Bescheinen Backes Schaefer; step-father: Herbert Schaefer; son: Tom Borgmeyer; grandson: Eric Borgmeyer; and brother-in-law: Virgil Muenks. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Loose Creek, with a prayer service to be held at 3:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 25, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Loose Creek with Rev. Donald Antweiler officiating. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Brick by Brick Campaign for Immaculate Conception School's new addition.
