Marion J. Lamb, 89, of Chamois, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Autumn Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility in Linn. She was born February 19, 1923, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Charles and Violet (Kuehn) Blaske. Marion was united in marriage to Estel Lamb in 1937 and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2005. Marion attended Plattners School and Lehigh School. She worked for Oberman's Pants Factory in Chamois and Hawthorn Tarp Factory in New Haven. She was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Marion enjoyed gardening, canning, and embroidering but most of all quilting. She is survived by two sons: Dennis Lamb (wife Lucille) of Chamois and Danny Lamb (wife Mary Ann) of Morrison; one sister-in-law: Darlie Lamb of Montgomery City; 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 11 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son: Donald Lamb in 1974; one half-brother: Muriel Court; and two great granddaughters: Jessica Skaggs and Heather Schertzer. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Millard Family Funeral Chapel, Chamois with a prayer service to be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Fr. David Means officiating. Interment will follow in the Bailey's Creek Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Bailey's Creek Cemetery Fund, St. Mary's Hospice, or Masses.
