Bernadine Elizabeth Mueller, 99, of Jefferson City, died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Golden Living Center. She was born February 7, 1914, in St. Elizabeth, the youngest of 13 children born to Christian and Elizabeth Sarah (Hake) Goeller. She attended St. Elizabeth schools. In May of 1934, Bernadine was united in marriage in Rolla to Elmer William Mueller, who preceded her in death on November 10, 1994. She had worked as a housekeeper for the Linley family in Jefferson City and had worked for Tweedie Shoe Factory and International Shoe Factory. On the farm, Elmer and Bernadine raised cows, hogs and chickens and sold milk and eggs to the community. Bernadine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Honey Creek. She enjoyed gardening, mushroom hunting, camping, fishing and coon hunting. She is survived by one son: Bill Mueller of Jefferson City; four grandsons: Alan (Peggy) Mueller, Bruce (Rita) Mueller, Mike (Ruth) Mueller and Steven (Julie) Mueller, all of Jefferson City; and eight great grandchildren: James, Mary, Nicholas, Karl, Daniel, Lauren, Torey and Madeline. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Judith, and a great-granddaughter, Stephanie. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Honey Creek, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
