Delma Mary Jane Bruce

Mrs. Delma Mary Jane Bruce, age 94, of Wooldridge, Mo., died on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Cooper County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Mary Jane Bruce was born Jan. 5, 1918, in Rulo, Neb., the daughter of James Nathan and Della Affend Adams Crews. She was married on August 31, 1935, in Sidney, Iowa, to Geroid D. "Sam" Bruce, who preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1994. She was a homemaker most of her married life and had been employed with McGraw Edison from 1960 until 1965. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Wooldridge. Mary Jane was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. Survivors include; two sons, Charles G. Bruce and wife Mae of Jefferson City and Gail L. Bruce and wife Linda of Wooldridge, Mo.; six grandchildren; Beth Fleet, and husband, Michael, of Jacksonville, Fla., Bruce Ortbals, of Glasgow, Mo., Danny Bruce and wife Jennifer, of Wooldridge, Mo., David Bruce and wife Sherri, of Boonville, Mo., Monique Caldwell and husband Kevin, of Rocheport, Mo., and Mindy Laughlin and husband, Jason, of Wardsville, Mo. One daughter, LaVonda Bruce, preceded her in death, July 11, 1980. Funeral services for Mrs. Bruce will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Davis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Merrill officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 o'clock until time of service. Burial will follow at the Copps Chapel Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Copps Chapel Cemetery.
