Lee R. Logsdon

Lee R. Logsdon, 86, of California, Mo., passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012, at Moniteau Care Center. He was born on May 2, 1926, in Sturgeon, Mo., the son of Sylvester and Rena Logsdon, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on September 27, 1947, in Jefferson City, Mo. to Earlene Pointer who also preceded him in death. Lee worked for 25 years for a printing company in Columbia, Mo. as a commercial printer. Lee and his wife managed Sugar Creek Estates Trailer Park and Homes in Fenton, Mo. from 1975-1982. Lee also worked for the California R-1 Schools as a custodian for 20 years. He was a member of the California United Methodist Church, was a graduate of Sturgeon High School and served in the United States Navy in World War II. He is survived by one son, William "Bill" Lee Logsdon of Cape Coral, Fla. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Burial with full military honors will be in California City Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Jones. Visitation will also be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the California R-1 Elementary Swimming Program, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak, California, MO 65018. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
