Marlene Yvonne Maddy Johnson, 72, of Jefferson City, Mo., and formerly of Macon, Mo. and Ft. Myers, Fla., passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on May 14, 1940, in Pinckneyville, Ill., to the late Glenn and Erma Bigham Maddy. She was the receptionist for Gov. Bob Holden from 2001 until 2004 and retired from the State of Missouri in 2010. She was a member of the Jefferson City First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband Mick Johnson, to whom she was married for 15 years; three sons, Judge Glenn Norton (Colleen Dolan) of St. Louis; John Norton of Columbia; and Bob Norton (Jana) of St. Louis; one step-daughter, Beth Davis (Tim) of Henderson, Colo.; one sister, Linda Robinson (Monte) of Madisonville, Ky.; six grandchildren, Julie Dotson (Jeremy), John Norton (Ashley), Jessica Norton, Pvt. Shane Norton, Zachary Norton, and Zane Norton; five great-grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Resurrection Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Daniel Hilty. Pallbearers will be her four grandsons, Jeremy Dotson, and nephews David Robinson and Dan Robinson. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum in Jefferson City. Memorials may take the form of donations to the American Lung Association, 1118 Hampton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63139. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
