Yvonne Marie Suggett, 74, of New Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center, surrounded by her family after suffering a short but difficult battle with Leukemia. She was born February 18, 1938, in Fulton, Missouri, a daughter of the late Elmer Lee and Iva Margaret (Underwood) Roberts. She was a graduate of Fulton High School. On April 27, 1956, Yvonne was united in marriage to Donald T. Suggett, who survives at their home. Yvonne worked for many years as a key punch operator for the State of Missouri in the Comptrollers Office at the Capitol. She also worked in bookkeeping and accounting for KRCG Channel 13 and also the Missouri Department of Revenue. She was a member of the New Bloomfield Christian Church, the XYZ Club, and Ladies Day Out. Yvonne was a very classy lady who loved life, laughing and telling jokes, even though she could hardly ever get to the punch line without laughing too hard to finish the joke. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with her husband Donald, she is also survived by a daughter: Lisa Williams (husband Kurt) of Jefferson City; two sons: Tim Suggett (wife Gaye) of Tebbetts; David Suggett (wife Tracy) of New Bloomfield; six grandchildren: Jodonna Yvonne Suggett, Ashley Suggett, Tim Suggett (wife Chelsie), Amy Suggett, Dustin Suggett, Shelby Suggett; three great-grandchildren: Azlynn Cornelison, Eric Cornelison, Logan Suggett; and five siblings: Ron Robert (wife Celeste), Ted Roberts (wife Joyce), Donna Trammell, Ann Smith (husband Ron), and Bill Roberts (wife Debbie) all of Callaway County. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Brian Fraser. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Holts Summit. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Joe Gibson officiating. Interment will be held in Providence Hill Cemetery near New Bloomfield. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the New Bloomfield Christian Church.
