Mrs. Iva Walker, age 78 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012, at the Adams Street Nursing Home. She was born on April 30, 1934, in Clifton Hill, Mo., a daughter of John and Ada Hobbs Chase. She was married on April 15, 1961, in Jefferson City, Mo. to Charles K. Walker. A resident of Jefferson City for the past 48 years, Iva graduated from West Plains High School in 1952. She was employed with the Missouri Department of Health as a Clerk Typist and later with Blair Oaks Elementary School until her retirement. Iva was a member of First Assembly of God and was active with their children's ministry. She loved children, teaching music and giving encouragement to others. Survivors include: her husband of 51 years, Charles Walker of Jefferson City, Mo.; one son, C. Wesley Walker (Renee) of Buford, Ga.; two daughters, Susan Glawson (Keith) of Tuscumbia, Mo. and Lynn Saucier (Randy) of Holts Summit, Mo.; one granddaughter, Abigail Glawson; one grandson, Logan Saucier; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and three brothers. Visitation will be at the First Assembly of God from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2012, at the First Assembly of God with the Reverend Lowell Perkins officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Boone County, Mo. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to First Assembly of God Children's Ministry.
