Margarita Flores

Margarita C. Flores, age 96, of Holts Summit, Mo., went home to be with her Lord Jesus, on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Margarita was born September 15, 1915, in Mexico City, Mexico. She and her late husband, Adan Flores, raised their two children in Watsonville, Calif. Margarita spent her life loving the Lord and her family. She was a beautiful Christian woman. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sharing her handi-work with her family and friends. Margarita spent many years leading Bible Study and ministering to others at the Pajaro Mission in Watsonville, Calif. She also volunteered at the Samaritan Center in Jefferson City, Mo. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City, Mo. She is survived by her two children: Albert Flores and his wife Debbie of Holts Summit, Mo., Lucia Flores of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren: Adam Flores and David Flores of St. Louis, Mo., Chloe' Cypert of Boca Raton, Fla., Cameron Cypert and Ciera Cypert of Las Vegas, Nev.; and her brother, Jesus Carbonell of Mexico City, Mexico. Dear family friends include: Grace Cross, Ken, Diana and Andrew Crutchfield all of Jefferson City, Mo., Larry Hightower and Denise Cross of Kansas City, Mo., and Megan Martins of Las Vegas, Nev. In addition to her parents, Margarita was preceded in death by her husband, Adan Flores; her infant son, Ricardo Flores; her sister, Mercedes Carbonell; and brothers, Miquel Carbonell and Pedro Carbonell. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. today, Friday, March 16, 2012, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Albert Flores officiating.
