Anna Knipp

Anna Mae Knipp, 80, of Tipton, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Tipton Oak Manor. She was born October 7, 1931, in Tipton, to Clarence and Josephine Vogel Hood. She was married May 16, 1950, in Tipton, to Norbert Knipp, who preceded her in death in March 2008. She was a member of St. Andrewís Catholic Church, the Altar Sodality, and the Daughters of Isabella. She worked as an aide at St. Andrewís School. She liked to fish, bowl and play golf and bingo. Survivors include four sons, Frank Knipp, Dan (Tammy) Knipp, Bill (Sheri) Knipp, all from Tipton, and Nick (Kim) Knipp of Leeís Summit; two daughters, Lynn (Norman) Essary of St. Martinís and Cindy (Glenn) Twenter of Pilot Grove; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beatrice Jobson of Sedalia and Louise Schuster of Pilot Grove. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral services for Mrs. Knipp will be Friday, March 9, 2012, at St. Andrews Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Andrewís Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Memorials to the St. Andrewís Church and Childrenís Heart Foundation.
