Margaret Brinkworth

Mrs. Margaret (Kozey) Brinkworth, age 90 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center. Margaret was born May 5, 1921, in Hazelton, Pa., the daughter of John and Julia Yencho Kozey. She was married in 1951 in Chicago, Ill., to Arthur R. Brinkworth, who preceded her in death on June 9, 1999. Margaret was a 1939 graduate of Phillips High School, Phillips, Wis. She was employed as a Customer Service Representative with Ball Seed Company in West Chicago, Ill., until her retirement in 1986. A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1986, Margaret was a member of the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, but most importantly, spending time with her family. Survivors include: two sons, Robert A. Brinkworth and his wife Vickie of Jefferson City, Mo. and Brian J. Brinkworth and his husband Don of Owings Mills, Md.; one sister, Mary Jackson of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, John Kozey and his wife Shirley of Wausau, Wis.; one granddaughter, Keri Theissen and her husband Dean of Jefferson City, Mo.; and two step-great-grandchildren, Emily Theissen and Allison Theissen. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George Kozey; and one sister, Ann Hanish. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 2, 2012. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 2, 2012, at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens with Mr. Brent Newton officiating.
