Rita Mae Quinn, 63, of Holts Summit, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. She was born March 19, 1949, in Salem, Missouri, a daughter of Clint Tency and Norma Alice (Nivens) Steelman. Rita worked for the Jefferson City Public Schools, most recently at Callaway Hills Elementary School as assistant manager of food service. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed shopping, cooking and watching television. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and being the best grandma ever to her grandkids. On January 4, 2002, Rita was united in marriage to Roy Quinn, who survives at their home. Other survivors include four daughters: Shanell Falotico and husband Peter of Wardsville, Leah Cave and husband Mike of New Bloomfield, Buffey Prenger and husband Ryan of Lohman, Jessica Noble and husband Thomas of Imperial; five siblings: Carl Steelman of Dunedin, Florida, Ronnie Steelman of Salem, Judy Meade of Palm Springs, California, Fay Stoll of Hazelwood, Donna Dominique of Jefferson City; and eight grandchildren: Bryor Cave, Dustin Kremer, Bradey Prenger, Ajay Cave, Frankie Falotico, Natalie Falotico, Dawson Prenger, and Carter Prenger. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 17, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Private family services and interment will be held.
