Margarette R. Bohannan

Margarette R. Bohannan, 96, of Jefferson City, went home to be with Jesus and her dearly departed Mother on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born June 15, 1916, in Neck City, Missouri, a daughter of William Steve and Mary Ella Sisco Ramey. On December 8, 1952, she was united in marriage in Jefferson City to James Everett Bohannan, who preceded her in death. Margarette was a self employed nurse and had worked for St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City, as well as a nursing home in California, Missouri. In her spare time, Margarette enjoyed working in her garden and reading western books. She dearly loved her dogs, cats and birds. Survivors include her children: Nancy E. Franke of Jefferson City, John T. Taylor of Sacramento, California, Loretta G. Wright of Warrensburg, Robert L. Taylor of Jefferson City, Harry D. Taylor of Omak, Washington, Patti N. Palmes of Jefferson City, James W. Bohannan of Jefferson City; 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Harry, Guy, and Herman Ramey; and one sister, Georgia George. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with a prayer service to be held at 4:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Reverend Gregory Meystrick and Pastor Lowell Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
