Philip S Goldammer

Philip Scott Goldammer, 41, of Lohman, Mo., passed away Thursday, July 11, 2012, at his home, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Philip was born in Jefferson City on January 25, 1971, son of Otto S. (Junior) Goldammer and Shirley Mae Platter who survive. He graduated from Cole Co. R-I High School in Russellville, in 1990. Philip married Linda Marie Welty on May 21, 2005, at Silver Dollar City's Wilderness Church, Branson, Mo., and she also survives. A lifelong resident of Cole County/Russellville area, Philip worked for the Cole County Public Works department, starting his employment in 1990 as a maintenance worker and in 1997, was promoted to a heavy equipment operator II. Philip was a member of the Russellville-Lohman Fire Protection District since he was a teenager, moving up the ranks to property officer and to the rank of captain. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Russellville. Philip loved his family and loved to farm at his Dad's place with the John Deere tractors. He had his own business, Goldammer Bob-Cat and Fencing and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being out of doors. He was a true friend to all who knew him. Survivors include his parents; his wife; five sons, Cody and Justin Goldammer, Tyler and James Strauch and Travis Kempker; one daughter, Emily Goldammer; one sister, Sharla Brewer and many other friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Russellville with the Rev. Carl Gaulk officiating.
