Barbara Heriford

Mrs. Barbara Ried Heriford, age 51, of Jefferson City, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. She is at rest with the Lord, but she will be sorely missed. Barbara was born July 13, 1960. She is the daughter of the late James Coffman and Loretta Coffman. She was a loving wife of 29 years to Mark William Heriford. Barbara attended high school in Steelville, Missouri. She worked at Brown Shoe Company in Steelville, and also as a CNA in nursing homes in Jefferson City. She was a devoted animal lover and had many dogs, cats and other pets whom she cared for like her children. Preceding Barbara in death were her father, James Coffman, and her brother, James (Jim) Coffman Jr. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Mark Heriford of Jefferson City and by her mother, Loretta Coffman of Wardsville, as well as many sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Barbara will be conducted on Saturday, January 14, at 2:00 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church, 1436 Hough St., Jefferson City, with Pastor Kevin Kohler officiating.
