William Miller (Veteran)

William "Bill" Pruitt Miller, 66, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012. He was born in Springfield, Mo., son of the late William and Lois (Pruitt) Miller. Bill graduated Jefferson City High School in 1963, served in the United States Army for 20 years, retiring in 1987. He was an avid motorcyclist, golfer, and traveler. Bill was widely known and highly respected as a businessman and leader in his field. Survivors include his loving wife, Jan, of the home; two children, William Andrew Miller and his wife Cassie of Whiteman Air Force Base, Knob Nobster, Mo., and Stacy (Miller) Long and her husband Jacob of Kansas City, Mo.; two precious grandchildren, Emma Charles and William Pruitt Miller; his sister, Rebecca Voss of Ozark, Mo.; and his dear canine friends, Bronson and Bailey.
