Rosa Lueckenotte

Mrs. Rosa M. Lueckenotte, age 87 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Monday, February 20, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center. Rosa was born on February 23, 1924, in Osage Bend, Mo., a daughter of Henry and Mary Wankum Bisges. She was married on February 12, 1947, in Osage Bend, Mo., to Cletus Lueckenotte, who preceded her in death on January 11, 2008. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Rosa was employed with the Missouri Department of Revenue for 16 years prior to her retirement in 1986. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church and active with the St. Ann's Sodality and St. Ann's Quilters at the church. She was also a member of the St. Mary's Auxiliary and helped deliver Meals on Wheels for many years. Rosa was a fabulous quilter, an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan, and enjoyed playing cards. Survivors include: three sons, Leon (Jill) Lueckenotte of Woodinville, Wash., Ken Lueckenotte of Jefferson City, Mo., and John (Shelly) Lueckenotte of Jefferson City, Mo.; three daughters, Lucille (J.T.) Moffett of Benson, Ariz., Elaine Davis of Austin, Texas, and Nancy (Ed) Knight of Creede, Colo.; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cletus; one daughter, Jane Chichester; one daughter-in-law, Missy Lueckenotte; her sister, Alice Bungart; and her five Bisges brothers, Leo, George, Joe, Frank, and Hubert. Visitation will be held in Pleus Hall at Immaculate Conception Church from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012, with a prayer service to be held at 4:00 p.m. in Pleus Hall (Happy Birthday, Mom!). A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February, 24, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church with the Reverend Monsignor David Cox and the Reverend Dan Lueckenotte concelebrating. Graveside services and entombment will be held in the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Immaculate Conception Church or the American Heart Association.
