Vera B. Wehrle

Vera B. Wehrle, 85, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Hermann Area District Hospital. Mrs. Wehrle was born in Berger, Missouri, on June 3, 1927, the daughter of the late Ferdnand and Rose (Parks) Gatzemeyer. She was the widow of Wilfred Alois Wehrle. They were married May 17, 1947 at St. Paul Church, Berger, Missouri. Wilfred preceded her in death on August 26, 2003. She was a member of St. George Church Hermann, Missouri, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality. She was an assembly line worker for Handi-Pak. Vera is survived by eight children: son, Alfred Wehrle and wife Alice of New Haven, Missouri, son, Howard Wehrle and wife Katy of Hermann, Missouri, daughter, Elaine Findlay and husband Gary of Hermann, Missouri, son, Steve Wehrle and wife Janet of Rhineland, Missouri, daughter, Jane Kolbe and husband Dave of Hermann, Missouri, son, Gerard Wehrle and wife Sue of Defiance, Missouri, son, Mike Wehrle and wife Diane of Jefferson City, Missouri, and daughter, Debbie Brethorst and husband Glenn of Hermann, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Wehrle of New Haven, Missouri and Theresa LaBoube of Hermann, Missouri; 22 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters, Gladys Faes and Dorothy Horstmann. Visitation will be Friday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann and Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held at St. George Church, Hermann, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, with Father Bill Debo officiating. Burial will be at St. George Cemetery, Hermann, Missouri. Memorials may be given to St. George Church or St. George School, c/o Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home.
