Jana Maureen "Missy" Jones Frink, 65, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012, in Dallas, Texas, after a long battle with cancer. Missy was born in Alva, Oklahoma, on August 3, 1947, the oldest daughter of the late Dean Leonard Jones and Beverly Harden Jones. She graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1965 and the University of Missouri in Columbia with a bachelor's degree in education in 1969. On April 2, 1969, in Jefferson City, Missy married Sam L. Frink of Fayette, Missouri. Missy lived in Hermann, Missouri, for 36 years and was an active resident volunteering with many community organizations. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Missy taught social studies and geography at Hermann Middle School where she also led the gifted program. She retired in 2002 and later worked at the Gasconade County Historical Archives. She enjoyed reading, gardening, history, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Missy is survived by her husband, Sam of Hermann; daughter, Laura Schieber, husband Chad, and children, Henry, Wyatt and Frances of Dallas; daughter, Mindy Frink, husband Eric Holers and step-children, Madeline, Mackenzie and Mason of Dallas; brother, David Jones and wife Margaret of Hallsville, Missouri and their adult children, Evan and Monica Jones; brother, James "Jim" Jones and wife Diane of Jefferson City and their daughters Amy and Beverly Jones. She is also missed by the Frink family, including her brothers and sisters-in-law along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Beverly Jones; and sister, Rebecca Jones. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, at Toedtmann and Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Memorials may be given to Wyatt's Fund in care of Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
