Mr. Dwain Manley, age 67 years, of Westphalia, Mo., died Saturday, August 11, 2012, at his home. Dwain was born January 3, 1945, in Taney County, Mo., the son of Mage and Georgia Whited Manley. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, he was a 1962 graduate of Harrison High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Dwain was a journeyman electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 30 years prior to his retirement in 2007. He was a member of the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5. Dwain enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, and restoring old cars. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include: one son, Shawn Manley and his wife Amy of Jefferson City, Mo.; two daughters, Regina Hoffman and her husband Bryan of Lohman, Mo. and Kimberly Wolken and her husband Gabriel of New Bloomfield, Mo.; his significant companion, Isola Jordan; nine grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald Manley; and one granddaughter, Daisy Cheyenne Manley. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012, in the Freeman Chapel with Brent Newton officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be conducted at the Centertown Cemetery, Centertown, Mo. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society.
