Thomas E. Limbach Sr.

Thomas E. Limbach Sr., 70, Boonville, passed away on Tuesday morning, Aug. 7, 2012, in Boonville, Mo. Thomas Emil Limbach Sr. was born in Henley, Mo. November 24, 1941, the son of Emil Limbach and Eunice Kauffman Limbach. He married Evonda Hart at St. Peter's Parish in Jefferson City, Oct. 3, 1964. Tom and Evonda moved to Boonville in 1971, where he was employed with McGraw Edison. He then became affiliated with H & R Block Tax service as the owner of the franchise in Boonville until health problems forced his retirement. Tom was an active member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and a former member of Knights of Columbus. He was a history buff who read extensively about history. He was also interested in geneology. Above and beyond all, he was a family man who worshiped his grandchildren. Tom is survived by his wife, Evonda, of the home; his children, Tom Limbach (Tammy) of New Franklin, Jocelyn Strand (Leif) of Jefferson City and Julie Lauer (Michael) of Boonville and by his grandchildren, Brennan Strand, Jacob and Caleb Lauer and Kirsten Limbach. His sisters, Patsy Ewers of Iberia, Mo. and Betty Morff (Ronnie) of Eugene, Mo. also survive. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Taule, Alma Holzer and Shirley Limbach and his brothers, Max, Walter, Bernard, Bobby and Jimmy Limbach. Visitation for Tom will be at Davis Funeral Chapel, Boonville on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 with a prayer service at 6:00. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Boonville at 10:00 on Saturday morning, August 11, 2012, with Father Bob Duesdieker officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Jefferson City. Memorials are suggested to the SS Peter and Paul building fund or the Helias Foundation.
